He has also been invited to speak on matters involving motor vehicle injury law, uninsured and underinsured motorist law, negotiation tips and techniques, and how attorneys can obtain more money for their clients’ personal injury cases. He has published hundreds of articles and videos on a variety of subjects involving accident and injury law. He is also been granted patent pending approval by the United States Patent and Trademark Office on his business method patent entitled Personal Injury File Acquisition Method, Client Education Program and Case Referral System.


Activities

Hastings has volunteered for a number of civic and not-for-profit organizations where he has served on various boards. He gets up each morning at 3:33 AM and can be found at the gym by 4 AM. In addition to practicing personal injury law and writing, he enjoys hiking, golf, international travel, and spending time with his children. He meditates with Buddhist monks, has met his Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Is a brown belt in jujitsu, and attends educational and motivational seminars. He the oldest of five boys and grew up in Ridgefield, Connecticut. He has three children, Alexandra- a trial lawyer who works for the city of New York torts division, Katie- a board-certified behavioral analyst who lives in Colorado Springs, and Zachary- a consultant with PWC who lives in Connecticut. He hopes to hike Mount Kilimanjaro, in the near future, with his children.
